Day 6: Scottsville to Slate River

It was a short 11 mile paddle to Slate River, with plenty of lazy island time. When I got to takeout, looked at a 15 foot or so climb up a
vertical bank with my camping gear. Made it with the use of plentiful roots and a long pole. A very pleasant night,
the catfish dinner was great. The kids were enjoying "lazy river" floats with their pfds on, from one ramp to the other. They
kept going back and their dads would do it again with them. Then we had Tom Baker get his chest shaved, for charity. He raised
over $1200 for JRBF. Dylan tied his hands behind a pole, and proceeded to cream him up to get the JRBF? design left in chest hair. He
really seemed to enjoy being shaved by four women!

Day 3: Bent Creek to Wingina
Day 4: Wingina to Howardsville
Day 5: Howardsville to Scottsville
Day 7: Slate River to Cartersville
Day 8: Cartersville to Maiden's Landing
