Check out the new Stage III controllers!!

BRP is proud to announce our first adjustable controller lineup. The Nitro Econo and Nitro Turbo are joined by the Stage I and Stage II adjustable resistor controllers.

Nitro Stage I controller

The Stage I is a fully adjustable Ready-To-Run Controller in a Parma Econo package. It is available in 80-120, 100-140, and 120-180 ohm ranges. All Stage I controllers feature a base resistor with a Nitro 2-stage progressive wrap to allow an aggressive response curve all the way across the adjustable range. The adjustable potentiometer was chosen to allow mid-range ohms at the middle of the movement (ex. 100 ohms rotated left, 120 ohms middle, 140 ohms rotated right). It has a super smooth trigger action. All controllers are tested and tuned for the smoothest operation right out of the package. Just connect it to the track and race.

Nitro Stage II controller

The Stage II is a fully adjustable Ready-To-Run Controller in a Parma Turbo package. It is available in 80-120, 100-140, and 120-180 ohm ranges. All Stage II controllers feature a base resistor with a Nitro 2-stage progressive wrap to allow an aggressive response curve all the way across the adjustable range. The adjustable potentiometer was chosen to allow mid-range ohms at the middle of the movement (ex. 100 ohms rotated left, 120 ohms middle, 140 ohms right). It has thicker gauge wire, positive-contact full power and brakes, a lighter trigger pull (no more tired turbo fingers), and a super smooth trigger action. All controllers are tested and tuned for the smoothest operation right out of the package. Just connect it to the track and race.

100 Wirewound Brake Potentiometers $5.95

Use this Pot to add adjustable brakes to any Parma or brp Stage controller.

Brake Pot Wiring

First you need to decide if you want clockwise rotation to increase or decrease the brake resistance. Rotate the pot fully CW and check the resistance between the middle lead on the pot and each outside lead one at a time. If you want CW to increase resistance, Find the leads that read 100 ohms. These are the two to use. If you want CW rotation to reduce the brake resistance use the two leads that measure 0 ohms. Remember 0 ohms is maximum braking. Cut the red brake wire. Solder one end of the red wire to the middle lead on the pot. Solder the other wire to the outside lead of your choice. It doesn't matter which one is connected to the middle as long as both connect to the two leads you checked for before. Extra wire may be needed to allow placement of the pot on the handle in the desired position. All Stage I and II controllers are fused with a 1 amp fast-blo fuse. This fuse will protect your controller in the event of a short circuit.

10 AGC 1 amp fast-blo fuses (1 1/4" X 1/4") $3.50

10 GMA 1 amp fast-blo fuses (20mm X 5mm) $3.50
