Larry Thomas' H:OyL

Thomas' H:OyL - $10.00

"Thomas' H:OyL is simply the best hobby oil out there. ;-) It is so slick that it literally improves performance and reduces lap times. At the same time, it is so durable that an application to the bottom arm bearing on a T-Jet is good enough to run a complete 12 hour enduro -- no re-oiling necessary. I know of no other oil that can offer that type of performance. And as a bonus, get a little on the comm and the car keeps right on running every bit as fast as before! For most T-Jet oils, the car will come to a screeching halt. 2002 Fray team and individual champions - using Thomas' H:OyL. 2003 Fray Championship team (full podium sweep) and individual champion (full podium sweep) - using Thomas' H:OyL. 2004 QCQ Championship team (full podium sweep) and individual - using Thomas' H:OyL. 2004 HOPRA Nats Champion, 3rd place, and 4th place - using Thomas' H:OyL. 2004 UFHORA Nats 2nd place and 3rd place - using Thomas' H:OyL. I consider that a pretty good pedigree. Now you know KC's secret weapon." --Larry Thomas

Larry Thomas' LSD for slip ons

Thomas' LSD - $10.00

"Thomas' LSD is a concoction I came up with to smooth out the handling and increase the performance of any car that is running double flanged wheels with slip-on silicone tires. LSD is a lubricant that is applied to the wheels prior to installing the tires. The lubricant is enough to allow the wheels to work independently as you go around a corner yet it is not enough of a lubricant to promote slipping so much so that performance is lost. In fact, the newfound differential effect is so pronounced that the performance of the car is actually improved. Just ask any of the KC guys, in particular Jack Rutherford. He used Thomas' LSD to win The Fray individual championship while most of the other racers were using Wizzard or GoGo silicone coated sponge tires. By the way, LSD is short for Limited Slip Differential. ;-) The limited slip that LSD provides certainly aids in times when traction is at a premium. That little bit of slip acts like a form of traction control, which is obviously not available with silicone coated sponge tires. But even on good traction tracks, LSD provides advantages over other wheel/tire setups because of the differential effect. Having both tires in non-slip mode with respect to the track is a very big plus in many situations. Quite often, with a high traction track, getting on the throttle quickly coming out of a corner will cause the car to bicycle up on two wheels and come out of the slot. Doesn't happen with Thomas' LSD... Bottom line, as you well know, is that the wheel/tire combo has to be tuned to the track and driver. There are times when each style works best. With LSD, you now have those extra choices that others do not." --Larry Thomas
